Food by Anita Basics – Salted Coconut Caramel

Simply the best caramel ever! Made only out of coconut ingredients: sugar, nectar, oil, and cream. A pinch of sea crystals to enhance the flavor. Explore the infinite possibilities of drizzling on top of cookies, ice cream, granola bars, pancakes, and waffles.

makes 1/2 cup of caramel

 

All you need

1 cup (150g)  coconut sugar
4 tbsp (70ml) coconut blossom nectar
1 tbsp (15ml) coconut oil
2 tbsp coconut milk/ cream
pinch sea salt

 

How to make

In a non-sticking pan mix all ingredients except the coconut milk/cream.
Keep on stirring. Reduce heat if needed.
Add coconut milk/cream at the end, it will keep your caramel soft.
Stir and your caramel is ready.
Suitable for reheating.
