Chocolate Blueberry Oatmeal Jars

Hello friends! I’m finally back sharing recipes after a few weeks of a creative break. The winter mood got me deeply, all those long cold gray days… but not today! The sun rays do its magic, tons of snow started to melt and spring flowers make their way up for a gorge bloom.

Comfort food has been top priority these winter months, therefore warm bowls were my way to nourish body and soul. I hope you will enjoy these cute blueberry chocolate oatmeal jars, either for a quick breakfast or an all-time anytime snack.

Why I love oatmeal?
– it is so filling and fiber-rich
– easy & quick to prepare
– warm comfort food saving those “I forgot to eat moments”
– infinite flavor options, you can’t go wrong
– you can easily sneak in all the goodies & adaptogens

15 min or less
makes 2 portions

All you need

for the oatmeal:
1 cup oats, fine
1/2 cup water or your preferred plant mylk
1 tbsp coconut oil/cacao butter
1 tbsp cacao powder

for the blueberry jam:
1/3 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
2 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp chia seeds
dash of powdered ginger

Sprinkle some magic

maple syrup
coconut yogurt
extra frozen blueberries
dark chocolate chunks
maca powder

How to make

Put all blueberry jam ingredients in a pan and let them simmer for 5 minuter at low heat. Stir occasionally. In a casserole add the oatmeal, water/mylk or a mix of both, and cacao powder, coconut oil and/or cacao butter and let it boil, then lower the heat and stir to avoid the bottom from burning. My SECRET is to have the ready oatmeal semi-liquid, as it thickens after a few minutes and it won’t make you thirsty the whole day. So feel free to add extra water or mylk gradually by stirring with a wooden spoon. Remove from heat once the flakes rise. The secret behind the smoothness and rich flavor comes also from the coconut oil and cacao butter – so you better don’t skip them 🙂

Split the oatmeal into two jars, and start layering on top maple syrup, chocolate chunks over the hot oatmeal, add coconut yogurt, blueberry chia jam, extra berries, chocolate chunks. I always sprinkle mine with maca or coconut sugar as it gives a nice texture and contrast on top.

Add all the magic on top and serve immediately. Have a gorgeous start of the week. Do not compromise with food. It’s energy.
